Job Title: Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry)

Pay Scale:
As per 7th CPC- Level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-) in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 44900/- plus DA as applicable per month.)
Level-10 in The Pay Matrix according to 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group’A’,’ Gazetted NonMinisterial.
Qualifications:
Essential:
(A) EDUCATIONAL: Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University.
(B) EXPERIENCE: 2 years’ expertise in Analytical method and research within the field of Chemistry.
NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Duties:
Crime Scene Management, Crime Case Examination, giving evidences in the Courts of Law u/s 293 of Cr.PC, providing guidance to the junior scientific staff such as analysis, R&D activities on Forensic Activities and imparting training in their respective field of forensic specialization to the trainees from different investigating agencies / forensic science labs and other organizations.

Qualifications:

(A) Master’s Degree in Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/  Physical Anthropology/ Forensic Science/ Genetics with Botany or Zoology as one of The subjects in Bachelor of Science degree from a recognized University.
(B) EXPERIENCE: Three years’ expertise of analytical methods and research therein in The field of Biotechnology / Molecular Biology/working in DNA Laboratory in any Central Government or State Government organization or recognized research institute Or Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government.
NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
DESIRABLE: Experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory.
Duties:
Crime Scene Management, Crime Case Examination bestow expert testimony/de’facto in the courts of legislation on the subject matter Under the provision of Cr.P.C. And Indian Evidence Act/Information Technology Act, R&D activities on Forensic Activities and imparting training in their respective field of Forensic specialization to the trainees from different investigating agencies / forensic Science labs and other organizations.
HQ: New Delhi with Laboratories at Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Guwahati & Pune. In accordance with performing his Duties, the officer might be asked to serve in any part of India.

(a) Candidates are required to pay a Charge of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only Either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by employing internet banking Facility of the SBI or using visa/master credit/debit card.
